Tae and mingyu's relationship makes things complicated in terms of boundaries, How will tae n mingyu navigate their relationship after tae gets with kook? Coz let's be real rarely in this world will a partner be okay with their partner having a best friend who loves them much rather slept with them for years that too with feelings.
Like will you be okay with your partner being friends with someone they had fwb relation? And how much can you trust them with it? One drunk night one bad decision and it all goes to shit, that too they r best friends or something so spending time alone with them would be normal if it was just besties but now with the nature of their relationship in a mix? Will tae be okay with jk having bestie whom he has slept with for a long time n who had felt for jk like that?
At the end it comes to trust and it's earned too but with how much cheating happens these days with the people u expect to be mad in love, here it's worse that they already had a past, can u really trust and not feel insecure abut it?
I don't know it's me be close minded or something but this is a hard boundary for many (as i have seen people saying how they won't get with ppl who have like a really close friend they have shared kisses with or slept in the same bed n all this is way beyond that) i think many won't even get into relationship with someone who is friends with their fwb n past feelings thing.
It's really irking me, seeing myself with someone like that so i just wanna know your views.
i totally get what you’re saying!! this is an issue that’s going to be fleshed out a lot as taehyung and jungkook’s relationship progresses. they have a lot of reconciling to do, and with that will come new boundaries, more communication, and also more grace. i don’t want to spoil too much, so im sorry that i can’t give a better answer, but this will for sure be talked about in coming chapters :D

I mean how will mingyu make tae fall in love with him? Will it really be worth it? Desperately trying to make someone fall in love with you who isn't ready for it? Sorry but won't that make him feel more pathetic? And also we know tae only how much we read gyu knows him for 2 years straight, from how much we know, tae isn't the person who would fall in love just coz gyu is pushing him to it
Also there is a reason why jk said they were made for each other. It was the string of fate, gyu isn't the type of person who would push himself so far to make tae fall he has his own personality meanwhile jk actually is would himself with all the obstacles if u see Falling in love with gyu is much 'easier' than falling for jk, he is his ex, he lives in different continent, he doesn't know the current tae, he isn't someone tae can have free banter with. Some things are just meant to be..
so true!! i think mingyu isn’t the type to push, and jungkook is. you’re actually touching on a rlly big element of taehyung’s character that i don’t wanna reveal too much of right now lol but your head is 100% in the right place. in the end, it’ll all boil down to who and what taehyung wants, and explore his reasoning a lot as the fic continues

so we can say mingyu took what tae gave him hoping and waiting for the right time to make a move and confess? like in his mind he was a good friend, satisfied him physically and gave him a shoulder to cry on, so if there ever would've been a time where tae was ready to involve himself in a new relationship he would've make his move? also,,, did he not expect jungkook to comeback into the picture or taehyung to acknowledge him/be affected by him in that sense so he's kinda jealous?? don’t apologize!! i think, yes, mingyu would have fr made a move if he felt that taehyung was ready or would be receptive to that, but i also think that they had plenty of time to get there. and it’s not like he didn’t try at all, like he tried setting up dinner dates and stuff, but taehyung never rlly took him up on it. mingyu is a remarkably patient man lol, but i also think he just got comfortable. then jungkook swoops in like im going to actively chase taehyung, and well, yeah. i think it’s safe to say that mingyu is jealous, but it’s also safe to say that he’s concerned for taehyung and the type of wounds this might reopen for him. mingyu heard a Lot from taehyung about the break up, about the bad things. i think the approach mingyu has taken with taehyung is one of erosion, he thinks that given enough time he can get through to him. jungkook is more of a dynamite approach—if the rock face won’t change, then he’ll change it. i think that scares mingyu both in regards to his own position in taehyung’s life and in regards to taehyung’s emotional landscape. we’ll explore this more in the fic for sure, so this will all be fleshed out better, but that’s what i can share for now😅

oh!!! but like this is something I don't get how mingyu can accept his situation with tae? like he knows tae doesn't love him but why doesn't he try to make him fall in love or smth?? OBVIOUSLY I STAND AND CHEER for taekook but I'm just curious i guess,, like if you're in love with someone how can u just stand there, accept you're being used (ok u got something from it too but still) and just be ok with it😭
this is a rlly good question!! i think he’s not okay with it, and this will be something that comes up later, but for now i think he feels like he’s biding his time. like taehyung doesn’t currently want a relationship, but maybe one day he will. he also doesn’t want to be with him if taehyung isn’t ready to be with him 100%. so, yes he loves him, but he’s not ready to full send it yet. i think there’s also a lot to be said about convenience. what he and taehyung have now is convenient, it’s easy, and it’s enough because it’s not like mingyu has been competing for attention (until jk stepped back into the picture), and they are also best friends which i think can simulate a romantic relationship to an extent. jk is throwing a big wrench in mingyu’s status quo, but he’s also held a lot of himself back out of fear that taehyung doesn’t want to be with him, so i think it’s not as painful as it would be for him otherwise. it’s a complicated situation for sure, and we’ll be seeing more of how mingyu handles it as the fic continues !!

cal can you tell us if mingyu is going to have some kind of epiphany about tae and kook's relationship or like he's already aware of the inevitability about them going back to each other?
i don’t know that he’s aware of the inevitability, but i think he knows the possibility is there. possibility is sometimes scarier than certainty. it’s unfortunate that we can’t really be in his head to see how he’s feeling. i think he’s already accepted that he won’t get a relationship out of taehyung, so i don’t think it’ll be so much an epiphany as much it’s something that will become certain over time and he will accept it as he’s accepted everything else
