this is a rlly good question!! i think he’s not okay with it, and this will be something that comes up later, but for now i think he feels like he’s biding his time. like taehyung doesn’t currently want a relationship, but maybe one day he will. he also doesn’t want to be with him if taehyung isn’t ready to be with him 100%. so, yes he loves him, but he’s not ready to full send it yet. i think there’s also a lot to be said about convenience. what he and taehyung have now is convenient, it’s easy, and it’s enough because it’s not like mingyu has been competing for attention (until jk stepped back into the picture), and they are also best friends which i think can simulate a romantic relationship to an extent. jk is throwing a big wrench in mingyu’s status quo, but he’s also held a lot of himself back out of fear that taehyung doesn’t want to be with him, so i think it’s not as painful as it would be for him otherwise. it’s a complicated situation for sure, and we’ll be seeing more of how mingyu handles it as the fic continues !!
