About Revospring

Revospring is a social question-and-answer site. Anyone can send you a question — signed or anonymous — and you answer it on your own page. You can ask other people too, follow the answers you care about, and react to the ones you like. No ads, and a timeline that shows posts in the order they happened rather than whatever an algorithm decides.

Your page is yours to shape. Add an avatar and a header image, write a bio, add your links, and set the prompt that greets anyone who visits — you can even choose a separate name to show above anonymous questions.

Then there's the theming. Revospring doesn't just give you an accent color to pick — you can recolor the whole page: background, body text, links, buttons, cards, and inputs. No two pages have to look alike.

You're in control of privacy, too. Decide who can ask you questions, whether anonymous ones are allowed, how long they can be, and whether your answers appear in the public timeline.

The format goes back to Formspring, which launched in 2009 and became one of the first big anonymous Q&A networks. Formspring became spring.me, then shut down. In 2014 an open-source project called Retrospring picked the idea back up and ran with it for about a decade — until the small volunteer team behind it could no longer keep it going and closed the doors in March 2025.

We weren't ready to see the format disappear again. So we forked Retrospring's open-source code and launched Revospring — the same open Q&A, now actively maintained and here to stay.

Revospring is built and run by Prometheus Information Systems, an independent software company. We host it, keep it maintained, and keep it ad-free.
