so we can say mingyu took what tae gave him hoping and waiting for the right time to make a move and confess? like in his mind he was a good friend, satisfied him physically and gave him a shoulder to cry on, so if there ever would've been a time where tae was ready to involve himself in a new relationship he would've make his move? also,,, did he not expect jungkook to comeback into the picture or taehyung to acknowledge him/be affected by him in that sense so he's kinda jealous?? I'M SORRY I DON'T WANT YOU TO SPOIL ANYTHING BUT I'M CURIOUSSSSSS obviously tell us what you can if you want,,, no pressure again I'm sorry :(
don’t apologize!! i think, yes, mingyu would have fr made a move if he felt that taehyung was ready or would be receptive to that, but i also think that they had plenty of time to get there. and it’s not like he didn’t try at all, like he tried setting up dinner dates and stuff, but taehyung never rlly took him up on it. mingyu is a remarkably patient man lol, but i also think he just got comfortable. then jungkook swoops in like im going to actively chase taehyung, and well, yeah. i think it’s safe to say that mingyu is jealous, but it’s also safe to say that he’s concerned for taehyung and the type of wounds this might reopen for him. mingyu heard a Lot from taehyung about the break up, about the bad things. i think the approach mingyu has taken with taehyung is one of erosion, he thinks that given enough time he can get through to him. jungkook is more of a dynamite approach—if the rock face won’t change, then he’ll change it. i think that scares mingyu both in regards to his own position in taehyung’s life and in regards to taehyung’s emotional landscape. we’ll explore this more in the fic for sure, so this will all be fleshed out better, but that’s what i can share for now😅
