☆ ANNOUNCEMENT INCOMING ☆

sooo, i don't think you're able to really make your own status updates or posts here on revospring hence why i'm resorting to this.

anyways, i'll likely be rewriting or updating my introductory essay for the hatching vogel canon. i think because i was really nervous, i tiptoed around a lot of what i wanted to say and didn't get my points across very well. also it's just not a very well-written essay.

well! time to hit up "politics in the english language" by george orwell once more, i guess! that's always been of great help to me whenever i need to write essays...

we know your top five fav movies in general but what are ur fav horror movies specifically

oh, this'll be fun! fair warning that everything after my number one does tend to switch around a bit, but at the moment:
5. longlegs (2024)
4. kwaidan (1964)
3. alien (1979)
2. the fly (1986)
1. the omen (1976)

Would you ever consider writing more dead dove stuff of Bright? The stuff you do have is really good!

Hatchlings · 16d

dude (can i call you dude) that newer fic abt emerson getting bright pregnant absolutely fucked me up. you're one of the few writers who really kind of emphasizes the inherent body horror and lack of autonomy a person would have in bright's situation (not just from emerson's abuse of him but the bodyhopping in general). seriously felt like throwing up but thats probably what u wanted to achieve so good job

dude is fine! and yep, my intent was very much to evoke disgust and despair. i feel like not enough fanworks even before the real-world stuff came out really focused on the inherent body horror and dysphoria of bright's situation so that's a big aspect of how i write him.

since you like richard donner, have you seen ladyhawke? i feel like that'd make for a good glassbright au...

i have not seen ladyhawke (my favorite donner films are "the omen", "the goonies", and the original "lethal weapon") BUT! i just looked up the summary and... ohohohoho that sounds SO perfect; i have to watch this movie now.

I get your criticism but also you calling yourself "the world's most livid domesticated rabbit" made me laugh

I NEED your hot takes. Who are your least favorite scp writers in terms of stuff they've written

Hatchlings · 1mo

hi, tony tulathimutte comparer here! your most recent fic was really well written but also i'm genuinely hoping that you're doing okay <3

thanks for checking in! i've had a bit of a rough day today, but my personal life and problems are much different than what bright deals with in my take on scp canon. i'm doing a bit better tonight, and writing "serve the servants" made me feel a bit better :)

Hatchlings · 1mo

ur writing reminds me a little of tony tulathimutte

oh yeah, i've had people recommend "rejection" to me before! maybe this is a sign that i should see if my library has a copy. uhh, thank you, i guess (if you meant it as a compliment)?
