Hi XiaoXin!
It’s been a while since i last wrote to you.
How have you been? I hope alright!
I wanted to ask you maybe a bit of a personal question? Do you sometimes miss the “old times” whith ZC? I don’t mean cp content or anything, i mean more like how things were back then? Because i kind of feel like things were a bit lighter. Fandoms were not this tense. I know cpf and sf have had their fights back then too, but compared to now, everyone seems to be so fragile now. Every little thing starts a fan war 🥺 It hurts to see.
I have never seen any of the fandoms being better than the other, all three fandoms have done a great deal of damage to each other. I’m a cpf 💖💚 but i would never defend another cpf if i see them being hateful towards a sf who has done nothing wrong. As you have said many times, we all love the same person at the end of the day. So that’s what we should focus on. Sometimes i feel like it would be better if we were all just fans, not divide us as cpf and sf. Sometimes i feel like that division is exactly the reason for so many fan wars. Because let’s be honest, our beloved actors all see us as “fans” who support them, they don’t divide us like we do. And of course there are fans (both cpf and sf) who would disagree with me. That’s another war right? Who ZC loves more? But they truly love all of us equally. They love everyone who supports them. Why fight over something so ridiculous?
Anyway. I miss older times sometimes… it just felt lighter. I hope you are doing really good. You also had a birthday right? Happy late birthday to you!!! 💖💚
Hi!! 💖💚 I’ve been doing okay, just busy with real life as usual and thank you so much for the late birthday wish!
Mmm, actually, from my perspective, I don’t think the fandom wars were necessarily less intense back then. Every little thing could start a war back then too. The difference was that we had so many activities and so much content that everyone was busy enjoying those things… while fighting at the same time, so maybe it felt lighter because there were always new things coming out that quickly shifted everyone’s attention.
This year is a little different. There haven’t been as many activities and there have also been disappointments here and there, postponed events, and the stricter environment in China surrounding certain things. Naturally, those situations make fans worry more and become more sensitive. When people are already anxious and there isn’t much new content to focus on, even something very small can easily become a much bigger issue.
But honestly, I’ve followed other CP fandoms for years, and I’ve seen this same cycle happen many times. So for me, it’s nothing particularly new. Unfortunately, I don’t think we can completely change that, because that’s just how fandom culture tends to be there. CPF and SF have different perspectives and priorities and with thousands of people involved, there will always be disagreements. Hopefully, when there are more activities again, everyone will have something happier to focus their energy on. Real life already gives us enough stress, we don’t need to collect extra stress from fandom too 💖💚
