I just feel like people need to learn to let shit go. Like @ the witch hunters: you can find something unfunny, or even distasteful without needing to justify that feeling by moralizing everything. You can just have feelings and opinions, you don't need a 'real' reason for any of it!

i agree!!! but also in my case i am always open to dialogue, had the people who initially qrt me in bad faith simply talked to me about it first, maybe the situation wouldn't have escalated like this? TT instead it's always expose/one up someone first and potentially hear them out later, which will never work out because by then both parties are on the defensive :( esp those who started it because now the have to Prove they were right idk.

I've always wanted to ask, how did you get into fandom and writing in general?
OMG HI!!! THANK YOU FOR THE QUESTION!!!! uhhhhm this will show my age for sure but my first ever real fandom was for the jonas brothers 💀 i remember stumbling upon a fan forum at like ?? 12 and having to ask my parents for permission to sign up 😭😭 on there i found out that fanfiction were a thing and i was IMMEDIATELY on board shskdjd i was reading what essentially were y/n/reader fics (though at the time y/n wasn’t really a thing, authors would create a whole new character for the love interest lmao)!! i started writing a few years later, at around 15 i think?? when i got into one direction 😭 initially i wrote only in italian and on a site called EFP (italian ao3 essentially it was an incredible site and a huge labor of love but unfortunately it has been abandoned, it’s luckily still up but nobody is taking care of it now :((( ), then i made a friend who also loved writing and we essentially teamed up to write TEEN WOLF fanfiction together and that reeeeeally sparked my love for writing (i was like 16 at this point?), but i was still writing in italian UNTIL yuri on ice came out in 2016 and i discovered ao3 and i just HAD to join and try my hand at writing in english 😭😭😭 until then i had mostly dabbled in italian communities or was fandom-hopping a lot in the international ones but yoi was truly what made me realize just how incredible fandom is and how beautiful creating is !!! i made my first writer friends there and was very much active on multiple platforms, but MAINLY tumblr 😭😭 i had so many ideas and so much love and excitement to create and see others create! i love it here rn because i think i had been chasing that high of being surrounded by passionate and driven people ever since i left the yoi fandom in 2018 (to become a kpop stan no less lmao)!! hopefully i didn’t misunderstand your question? 🥺🥺🥺

also quick question~ when did you become a stay? another question, (i am always curious about this) how deep into being a stay did you fid your current biases and why! love <3
hhhhhng so... i'll try to keep it short n' sweet but basically, i watched the first ep of the survival when it came out because i wanted to see itzy debut, got disappointed because itzy clearly wouldn't debut and followed the survival's updates from a distance, from then on i always sorta kept them on my radar music-wise! my pace was on my spotify wrapped, i was voting for miroh bc some oomfies at the time asked for help, i was a big fan (understatement of the century) of levanter when it came out, looooooved in life so much i almost became a stay then, but THEN! i distanced myself altogether from kpop shortly after that!
fast forward to 2024, my partner got into skz and i was like AH YES!!! I REMEMBER THEM! I HAVEN'T HEARD THAT NAME IN YEARS... i felt like that scene from ratatouille where the critic eats ... the ratatouille, so i started listening to their music again and caught up with everything that came out between 2021 to 2024, tho i refused to "be a stay" because i had never gone past just listening to the music in all the years since debut and i was reluctant to do it now (just because i didn't want to become a kpop stan again... lmao look how that worked out for me), but my partner was and is a huuuuuge stay and they gave me no choice lmao, for an entire year i basically was up to date with EVERYTHING going on, we even went on vacation in japan and we would stop at a restaurant and i'd get updates in between bites.
what eventually did it was going to the concert this summer and looking more excited and hyped up than my partner lmao i had to officially declare defeat then...
that and the fact that i was obsessed with changbin lmao all my partner had to do to get me to listen to the updates was lure me in with the promise of changbin... and then even lino... so i guess that, technically speaking, the biases came before i officially declared myself a stay?
