Hi Elli! I really want to start tdip but I've never actually read many omegaverse fics so I don't know much about it. Or I know the basics of course but I don't know anything about packs for example. Hello! I’m sorry for answering this so late, but thank you for the sweet ask 🥹 I’d honestly recommend getting into omegaverse bc it’s so fun!
A pack can mean various things based on the author’s interpretation, but I think basically it is understood to be a strong social and platonic bond between a group of people (although it can be sexual as well). Kind of like a family, but the members aren’t usually related by blood (but they can be 😅). There is usually a pack bond, created by the pack leader giving a pack bite or otherwise claiming his packmates. There is also usually a certain hierarchy, with the pack leader in a position of authority and various power relations between the rest of the members of the pack.
