not sure if you were looking for an actual answer, but it's because alot of stays see hyunchan in either a father-son or siblings way. then when red lights dropped there was an anti-rpf shift among most kpop fandoms
seeing hyunchan as father/son and/or siblings is fucking INSANE to me personally, like even otp aside, i dont think ANY of them have that dynamic that is a big giant polycule like that is WILFUL IGNORANCE I THINK!!! but the anti-rpf shift after red lights is interesting tell me more, coz i wasnt around when this happened and now i'm intrigued o.0

i think maybe a mix of both, i dont think its necessarily easy for them or rather, it is easy when it's easy, and it's fuckin HARD when it's hard, and sometimes they can clash and sometimes it gets volatile and in myyyyy mind palace they're the kings of on again off again. but i think they can't help but gravitate towards each other, quietly, maybe without either of them really noticing until it's too damn late. and sometimes the timing is right, and sometimes the timing is terrible but regardless, they will always always always end up circling each other again, they're too stuck in each other's orbit~~

LMAO he's like 6 foot, thicc, moustache, beautiful long wavy curly brown hair that i envy him eternally for, brown/hazel/sometimes fuckin blue/grey? crinkly eyes, big nose, a southwestern accent that only comes out occasionally but comes out STRONG when it does lol [i say ope because of him now, sigh], he smokes teal american spirits, he has a gap in his front teeth, he has a dark souls 3(?) tattoo, he's almost always wearing a black carhartt beanie [midwest hardcore boy falls for british emo girl, or whatever avril lavigne sung about], and he's a cook so he very, very much embodies the line cook energy ykwim

older benefactor!chn who gets sooo guilty over the fact that he jerks off to actor!hj's magazine covers and spreads when he's known him since he was young and new to the industry, and can never quite meet hj's eyes the next few days afterwards. he buys desserts and meals and trinkets for him, but always wants more and doesn't realise hj wants him back until one day hj comes over and notices one of his more suggestive magazine spreads hidden badly under his bed. it's kinda wrinkled, like someone's scrunched it up and then tried to smooth it back out again, and it clicks in hj's head that this is why chn hasn't been able to hold eye contact with him for a week, and that he probably thinks he'll be taking advantage of him.
