SIGH. He gets followed not Infrequently! Mostly because he definitely has some reputation of sleeping around.. usually it’s for propositioning or, accosting, for sex! Very rarely it’s someone asking if he’d like Jesus to save him, and sometimes it’s just the worlds most socially inept advertiser who’s trying to guess if Dae has windows that need to be replaced..

What are dae's manners like? If he's at a fancy restaurant will he use a napkin or his sleeve? Does he please and thank you? How would he get along with little old church ladies?
He has manners when applicable, he ultimately still respects seniors a lot from what contact his parents made with him had taught him and then feeling some form of affection for the old nurses nearing retirement. If he’s having dinner with the golden girls he’s on his best behavior and mindful! He sortaaaa dgaf with anyone else, mind you he hardly eats normal food so much as. Medicine soup smoothies. But it makes the times he’s bad and eats junk food even messier 💔 what a guyyy..

What's the most satisfying activity to Dae? Physically, mentally, emotionally, or any combination thereof. Does it change over time? What are the different iterations?
Listening and trying to play his favorite songs as a boy, going to concerts as early teen, having sex in his late teens, and some combo and back n forth between these for the rest I’d say? Music is important but Sex is a freedom and form of self harm all at the same time that he gets addicted to really. He enjoys doing other things!! But it always comes back to music and sex

Where is the one place in the world that has the most emotional/nostalgic value to Dae, where he would go back and stay forever if he could? Is there any such place? Is anyone there with him?
The music store Andrew took him to with Dae means a lot to him! Just your run of the mill store really, but Andrew would have the hospital give him permission to take Dae on outings and almost always they’d go to that store per Dae’s request! It’s where he first fell in love with music, and where Andrew bought him his guitar.
He doesn’t like going to stores in general alone, but especially there, which is his go-to for music. That said, Dae has to have some level of trust that he wouldn’t give to most of his partners/exes to go there specifically with him. He knows it’s just a store, but yeah! There’s a lot of emotional and nostalgic value to him there for sure. Out of his partners written so far only Matthew and Odalisque he would take to this store, and while he treats it casual in the moment like nothing significant, it has more value to him than he’ll ever say.
He still goes with Andrew sometimes, but definitely less frequently as he’s older. It’s just like a little tradition for them now!

Consider: advancements have been made in the realm of mad science. Dae's brain, without his will, has been removed from his skull and transplanted into the skull of Captain James T. Kirk (any iteration). Why, exactly, does he scream? Is it because he's white now? Is it because all of his body mods are gone? Is it because he has to live longer? Is it because he now has to command a starship and has no fucking clue what he's doing? Or is it Something Else?,,,,,
WHAT THE HELL 😭 this is Horrifying and Dae would think so too but unfortunately he probably has stayed up before to watch Star Trek and would just be too curious to kill himself… thus.. I guess Daemes T. Kirk lives.. Unfortunately I think he would adapt but he would hate that he’s white now yes!

What is Ester’s biggest insecurity?
Esther’s biggest insecurity.. I think before Dae, it was the fact that she was getting older, but before when she was younger her vitiligo along with being a black queer woman in the 80-90s definitely made her feel ostracized even within communities she was a part of.
It took a lot of time but she would eventually embrace herself and all that she is, and used an at first exaggerated confidence, that later on became sincere to boost herself up and make herself unavoidable and irresistible to anyone she wanted.
Dae is something of a mid life crisis, after building up all this genuine confidence in herself and who she is, she is attracted to and connects on some level with a person that is outside her identity! Even after her and Dae break up, she finds herself left questioning everything, more lost than she’s felt in decades. Dae was a whirlwind she wasn’t prepared for.

Tell me your favorite little known fact about Dae
My favorite little known fact, I’ve mentioned it before but with his. Everything Else. It definitely sticks out less, he has a guitar and it’s been something he’s been playing since he was 11! He loves grunge, metal, punk, alternative- music is a BIG part of his identity, and it’s how he connected with a lot of his exes/partners!
He also enjoys having sex during concerts because when the music is loud enough you feel it through the floors, it just makes you wanna!!!! Ride a guy!!!! Or something!!!!! Maybe that’s just him though. Special guy..
Ignoring his Quirks, music and its importance to Dae is definitely just one of my favorite little facts about him!

This is Awful. He wouldn’t mind the attention until people start poking into his business and he’s never left alone in which case I think he would kill himself sooner, actually miserable feeling watched.. it’s like being in a hospital again except these people don’t have a grasp on professionalism!!!!
