Hello^^ Are the 3-5 sample pieces seperate from the drive portfolio? like does the additional portfolio have to have the same sample works or can they be different pieces
Hello! They can be different/additional works. Some applicants have chosen to include their samples in the portfolio as well- which is fine- but generally it is recommended to put your best works as samples and the additional portfolio to include any other works you might like to show us to supplement your application.

Hi! Just wondering since an MHA/Pokémon sample is required, would a Pokémon crossover for another series suffice (e.g. Haikyuu!! characters with Pokémon creatures)?
Yes, that would be fine! Just to clarify for everyone, we are only requiring a sample from EITHER MHA or Pokémon. This is to appeal to both people who may be involved more in one fandom over the other and not exclude anyone who may have ONLY Pokémon creatures art or ONLY MHA art. We know crossovers are somewhat niche, so it definitely doesn't have to contain both!

Hi! For applications, is our preference among Pokémon types considered when determining our candidacy? AKA would selecting more obscure types be to our advantage? Mostly just asking as I don’t have a strong preference among types! Ty!
Hello! Thank you for your question! The preference among Pokémon types will only be taken into consideration if you get accepted into the zine, meaning your preference for typings will not affect your chances of acceptance. This is to help us assign typings to contributors and determine your assignments for either page art or one of the Pokémon gym leader cards that will be included as a merch item. For example, if you apply as page art, maybe you rank Ghost types as your highest preference because you would like to depict a 2 page spread of Lavender Town full of different ghost Pokémon with someone like Shinsou, Reiko, Ectoplasm or Kurogiri. Or you select Electric because you want to draw Kaminari with a selection of electric type Pokémon for his Gym Leader Card. We welcome abstract ideas and variety so if you have no strong preferences, I would take this into consideration when selecting your types!

Hi mods, I have a question for the writers application! It's stated in the carrd that "All samples must be linked via Google Drive or Ellipsus only. Social media links will not be considered." Does that mean AO3 fanfic links (that aren't locked/privated for logged-in users) fall into the social media link restriction too? Thank you in advance for answering!
Hi there! For the sample pieces, we ask that applicants submit Google Drive/Ellipsus links for the sake of simplicity and ensuring that all pieces are able to be seen. For portfolio pieces, all applicants are welcome to use AO3 links though, as pieces don't have to be a specific length!
