The preference among Pokémon types will only be taken into consideration if you get accepted into the zine, meaning your preference for typings will not affect your chances of acceptance. This is to help us assign typings to contributors and determine your assignments for either page art or one of the Pokémon gym leader cards that will be included as a merch item. For example, if you apply as page art, maybe you rank Ghost types as your highest preference because you would like to depict a 2 page spread of Lavender Town full of different ghost Pokémon with someone like Shinsou, Reiko, Ectoplasm or Kurogiri. Or you select Electric because you want to draw Kaminari with a selection of electric type Pokémon for his Gym Leader Card. We welcome abstract ideas and variety so if you have no strong preferences, I would take this into consideration when selecting your types!
