Helloooo. I wanted to share an underrated goyuu au is the vampire fantasy genre. I recently discovered this one fic series on ao3 by Randomchapter7 it’s a mini vampire series that follows vampire Satoru and his ever tired but indulgent human bf Yuji and it’s just the cutest thing ever and I think more people should check it out.

I must be on different timeline that time because all i see was jjk fans justifying yuji's inaction and coming up for reasons why he didnt step in. I did see some fans tried to make it about gojo and theres a small discourse how gojo sent his students against geto💀. Personally, i don't think yuuji was aware yuka wasnt in a good state thus he stated he will step in if they can't handle it🤷
- I remember seeing someone absolutely raging about how Yuuji was desecrating Gojo's legacy and didn't understand what he had wanted at all; it got a few thousand likes. On the other hand, I only saw it because one of my mutuals QRTed it, dunking on the OP
- Actually, yeah, was Yuuji even aware that Yuka was going through it? He'd been AWOL for years before that. In any case, I think he more than makes up for it with his sacrifice that locks him out of the cycle of reincarnation

Years ago, when I was properly getting into fandom, I got depressed seeing how much it has changed for the worse. Eventually, I learned that no matter how many people fight it or give valid proof/argument, people— "antis"— don't listen. So I had to take a break and realized all I can do is ignore them. If I see something horrible, block. And then I immediately ignore it, erase it from my memory and move on to something else. I know it can be disheartening to think like that but personally, it's made an impact on my mental health, for the positive. Please don't strain yourself when it comes to stupid people. Posts like "minor x minor" are a post a dozen. But then i remember what else is posted— artists who share their passion, their works, their time, their efforts— writers who do the same, people of the shares community gabbing and having fun over their interests. I'm sorry if this is irrelevant, jic I thought it might help. To summarize, what I do for myself is focus my energy on the people who deserve it, not the idiots who can't think for themselves. You're great, Mindini! Wishing you all the happiness in the world! ❤️
No, it's not irrelevant at all, and it's absolutely helped! Thank you so much, anon. I needed this reminder. I think since I've been off work for the summer, the lack of structure has led my already deteriorating mental health to take an even bigger dip—and that's caused unhealthy behaviours like doomscrolling and bickering on Twitter, which of course only makes things even worse 😓
While I don't want to stop writing my analytical threads, I'm going to try to remember that I can do that without subjecting myself to conversations with people who fundamentally don't respect me.

THANK YOU MINDINI omg i know i wasn’t the only one to be irritated by some diehard Yuuji stans who disrespect Gojo’s character as a goyuu shipper. Maybe it’s because I am very empathetic but i would never blame Satoru for reminiscing his past when he was for the first time experimenting high school life with new friends, new activities, and being free from his family who were intrusive. He wasn’t burdened by duties (before the inevitable when he became the lone strongest) and had time to enjoy his life after being isolated for so long.
It’s kinda ridiculous to compare his blue spring (which mind you is a product of Mappa NOT Gege) to Yuuji when they are different part of his life ! Instead on focusing on that, they should see the glass half full : Yuuji had a huge positive impact on Gojo’s life in few months ! Why being insecure when it’s Itadori Yuuji we are talking about !!!
- I'd still consider Gojo's Blue Spring as canon to the text, i.e. not illegitimate because MAPPA produced so much in its name. There's a reason why, in the manga, Gege had Gojo appear as his teenage self and the first person he spoke to be Geto when he (Gojo) died, right?
- I agree that a bigger deal should be made of how Gojo knew Yuuji for less than a year and yet was so impacted by him. It almost feels like Yuuji's life must stretch out so long so that he might properly mourn all the years they did not get together—might live both his life and the one Gojo should have had
- To be fair, I think I understand where their bitterness stems from, as I felt similarly when I was struggling to reconcile my feelings about 236 and the end of the manga. This is only exacerbated by how the rest of the fandom seem fully convinced that Gojo "chose" Geto, and goes out of their way to make sure you know it... It was especially bad during the promotional period leading up to the HI compilation movie, worsened by a drought of Yuuji-related content 😓

I know people love Slutty Gojo BUT I personally love "virgin" Gojo. Hear me out, people around him have objectified him into a weapon and Gojo himself clearly knows what his looks can do to other people. I think by the time he reaches high school, he's aware people look at him sexually. Fetishize him. He knows they have this image of him in his head and he's grown used to it (well, used to it in the same way women are used to being objectified; aware but not accepting. Grossed out deep inside but knowing there's not much one can do because work with it). So he plays along with the whole "flirty player" image when really, he has no interest in sex. He secretly hates being seeing as a sex object, used in people's eyes who live and hate him. He'd rather keep to himself, not into dating or even seeing anyone. Occasionally, he might flirt but thats more so for his own amusement, a joke. So I bet by the time hes 28, he's still never been in a relationship, much less had sex. It doesn't help that he's numb to most emotions because he cant see other people around him as equals. Okay, now here comes my goyuu delusions. We all know Gojo isnt afraid of personal touch, even outside of Yuuji. But I like think, in a world where they had more time, Gojo would have been in interested in sex. Would have actually really REALLY got into sex because he likes Yuuji and Yuuji treats him like a person. And Yuuji thinks hes not a virgin because he's good at the 1st try (because Gege said Gojo is good at anything without trying so he doesnt try) and is surprised to learn it's Gojo 1st time too. Surprised but not put off because he's so accepting of Gojo. I guess this all to say that I think Gojo may be demisexual
A Gojo who hasn't much of a sex life and/or is on the asexual spectrum actually isn't as uncommon as you might think! Here's a short comic by one of my favourite Japanese Goyuu fan artists, kirariky, where Gojo admits to Yuuji that he is also a virgin just before they have sex for the first time, and that Yuuji is the first person he's ever loved romantically and desired sexually.
I must admit that my favourite conception of Gojo with regards to his sexuality is as bisexual with no particular preference for any gender. But for similar reasons as your conception of demisexual!Gojo, he isn't as sexually active as other people may think—and Yuuji is the first person he develops romantic feelings for.

I love Goyuu so much that I sometimes grief Yuuji didn’t met Gojo earlier… He met his sensei when he was already isolating himself and traumatized and still Yuuji managed to teach him love ❤️
At first I didn’t get why 1815 was so popular when I joined the fandom but now ? It’s crystal clear that a lot of goyuus want Satoru to experimente what is love in his teenage years and what it’s like to be seen for who you are
