For a few days, some anonymous questions weren't reaching inboxes — which is also why the site felt quiet. We found the cause, fixed it, and recovered the questions we could. Sorry for the trouble. Read what happened

A childhood memory you carry dearly to this day.

i feel like most of the memories i keep closest from childhood have some huge story attached to them, but one of the simplest ones is still my favourite.

my dad used to take me to my grandad’s house and there was this lake with a tyre swing hanging from a tree above the water. we’d spend hours swinging out over the lake and throwing ourselves into it.

i’ve always loved summer, and all that sort of thing, so every year i’d spend months waiting for those days to come back around.

looking back, it was such a simple thing, but at the time it felt like the greatest thing in the world.
