i showed it to my old guitarist once when we were rolling hard and when it finished he just looked at me and went, “why the fuck would u show me that?”

i think the film is brutally honest about addiction and dependency and the way people slowly build their lives around something that’s actively destroying them. just watching people disappear into something they can’t control anymore.

i’ve dealt with my own versions of that sort of thing, so it’s always felt like a film that understands the psychology of it better than most.
