soobin: chinchilla. small cute and fluffy, all things soobin loves. definitely not the easiest pet, but he’d be up for the challenge! also idk why but he reminds me of a chinchilla. the perfect blend of cute and attitude
yeonjun: dwarf goat OR saltwater fish. I think he’d have a really fun time with livestock animals tbh? like goats, hogs, mini horses…. however he isn’t the kind of guy to have time to take care of livestock, so that’s where fish come in. fish are surprisingly complicated, but he could totally pay an expert to balance the water, and then he’d get to sit and watch them swim for hours like the kitty he is
beomgyu: ferret. they have similar chaotic energy to parrots and also to beomgyu himself. they're also very cute and can be quite friendly! he might have trouble with the smell though (or ignore it for the sake of having a fuzzy friend)
taehyun: I'm still in honey & wildfire mode so I want to say BUGS BUGS BUGS even though I know irl taehyun does not like bugs...... if he could not be converted into a bug enjoyer, I would see him as a reptile guy. I think he'd greatly enjoy a nice tortoise or a ball python. ball pythons are super chill and also beautiful and large... he'd be the kind of guy to chill with his snake on the couch next to him
kai: chameleon/bearded dragon. I said iguana at first but then I remembered that they’re actually giant and I don’t think he’d know what to do with that 😭 anyway I think he’d also like reptiles, and have a soft spot for strange looking pets in general, so a weird lizard is definitely his vibe. his tank would have the prettiest setup too

I'm cryinghjhghjkshjjkljj you know me, I'm a big fan of seriously discussing absurd omegaverse topics....................... the answer is yes! at least in terms of the physical sensation, that would be a pretty accurate substitute. either that or a sex + fingers would scratch the itch. of course, that's only half the problem... I imagine there's a lot of pheromones being released by the alpha during knotting, and yeonjun can't replicate that part, so soobin's body would be able to sense the difference. that brings us to the big question the characters have to answer: is there really a big difference between alpha and omega pheromones? if soobin is attracted to yeonjun, does yeonjun's gender matter?

regardless, yeonjun has definitely gotten ~creative~ over the years! both during and outside of heat

I don’t mind at all! I love talking about it!! I specifically work at a zoo, so I spend my time walking around and giving presentations on all the animals, talking about their unique adaptations, habitats, why they’re endangered, interactions with humans, our breeding programs, etc…. sometimes it’s formal presentations with school groups, other times it’s just brief conversations with guests who have questions about specific animals! I also get to use ecofacts (like turtle shells and molted feathers) or even bring our ambassador reptiles along with me :) it’s super super fun and fulfilling; I get to make people happy and show them how a single person really can make a difference! I never imagined myself as an educator in any form, but I found a passion for informal education/interpretation in college. I originally wanted to work in a museum setting, but talking about animals and talking about art is very similar, and ecology has always been the inspiration for my art 🥰 my current position isn’t permanent, but I plan to stay in the field in the future, since there are a lot of ways to get involved
