For 2D it's all using optical tracking via a webcam and then using something like mediapipe or OpenSeeFace to do feature extraction and tracking on the live video feed.

It's not super ideal, and I would love to get like, a full set of SlimeVR or what have you to do more proper full-body tracking, especially if I was to move to 3D.

On the fiction side, I would say I am very much enjoying a trashy web-novel called 「かませ役♂に憑依転生した俺はＴＳを諦めない」currently.

On the non-fiction side, "High-Speed Digital Design: A Handbook of Black Magic" is pretty good, but I don't know how obscure it is.

It depends on the footprint! If it's a standard battle tested one and is in the KiCad libraries, I will use that, otherwise I roll it myself.
