Such a harsh question, honestly. I think every time you consume something political, you end up gaining a new perspective on something, even if it’s small. But recently I’ve been reading some of Gramsci works and other authors that reflects on his ideas, and I just realized how kind of limiting it is to see history and politics through rigid formulas. Sometimes we can interpret things in a rigid way, and it’s important to let go of the idea that history follows a fixed path, that every society would inevitably develop in the same way, or that revolution would simply emerge once capitalism reached a certain level of crisis. Culture, institutions, religion, media, education, collective consciousness, everything shape political reality, and politics shouldn’t be seen as something merely structural.
