OMG 😭 scifi and fantasy make up most of my reading lists tew. i did read babel and the poppy war (stopped at the 1st volume bc Altan plotline stressed me out so much, enjoy babel greatly - glory to linguists' doomed yaoi). I could be a fan of Donna Tart's writing but i only finished the secret history (oh messy group of ppl), handshake a fellow enjoyer. I might check out her Gold Finch and The Locked Tome next! Tysm ><

OMG YAY im glad u liked Babel. I dont blame u for tapping out of the poppy war, its a super intense series but it has maybe my favorite ending to a book of all time (the dragon republic... I love you) so if u ever pick it back up let me know!!
the secret history is a lot - if you enjoyed that one, you might like If We Were Villains by M. L. Rio.
and I hope you like The Goldfinch and The Locked Tomb! the locked tomb is super confusing at first so just keep going.
classic lit... yes. The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde of course. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger. And To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Truth be told I dont read a ton of classics i need to up my game
