Revospring is faster than ever
Big news: Revospring just moved to brand-new infrastructure, and it is faster than it has ever been.
Pages that used to slow down during busy hours now load in a fraction of a second, at any hour, for everyone. Profiles, timelines, search, media: all of it is quicker. The site finally has room to grow, and we intend to use it.
We measured it, because we could hardly believe it ourselves. These are real numbers from every request the site served this week, at the same busy evening hours. A typical page went from 170 milliseconds to 56. The slowest pages tell the real story: the worst 1% of page loads used to take 35 seconds. Now they take half of one.
As far as we can tell, this makes Revospring almost certainly the fastest Retrospring-based site running today, and likely the fastest there has ever been.
Thank you for your patience while we built this. If you noticed a hiccup or a brief maintenance window recently, that was us getting the new home ready, and your patience paid off. Some of you stuck with us through the slow days, and that loyalty means a lot.
The speed upgrade caps off a busy stretch of improvements:
- Site rules are published at /rules, so moderation standards are clear and the same for everyone.
- Ban appeals are open at /appeal, and every ban now comes with a written reason.
- A public suggestions board is live at /suggestions. Post ideas, vote on the ones you like, and watch them get built. Several recent fixes came straight from user reports, including the double-posting bug some of you ran into.
This is the best Revospring has ever been, and it is only the start. If something is broken, or you just have a question, reach us any time at support@revospring.net. If something is missing, suggest it. We are listening, and we are building.

Im so happy!!! me and my friends use this site a lot to pester and send each other asks (since strawpage limits us a lot) and this was our only issue, great update!!

That's awesome! How is Strawpage limiting? I've never used it.
This is truly just the beginning. The original Retrospring project was kind of clunky and hard to work with, but we've made tons of progress on rebuilding a lot of it. Now that the performance issues were resolved, we're going to work on fixing the weird UI and adding new features. It's only going to get better from here.

Strawpage has an askbox that you can add for anonymous questions as well as a feature to send drawings in, but more often than not, most if not all of my asks and drawings i send to friends get lost or unsent (Assumed to be censored by their mod team? But some of the asks i should be getting are as innocuous as 'hey kere!!') 🙃🙃 i've never had a friend ask me if something they've sent on revospring gotten lost

Okay, thanks for filling me in. We rarely ever censor and that's only if someone is doing something obscenely against the rules. Our mods don't care about random things. Many of the users here just send erotic nsfw fandom or k-pop argument stuff and I don't really understand it but it's not my place to judge! 😂

"Lightning fast" is accurate, there were times when revospring ran slow for me but it's super fast now. Happy to see these updates!!

This is amazing!! I just discovered this site recently and have fallen in love with it. My only issue was with how long it took to load sometimes (worrying that may discourage people from sending asks), so to see this addressed is a relief. All around great alternative to SP for anonymous Q&A, thank you so much for the work that you do!
