Hi! Sorry to bother you, I just have some questions about the writer applications for the Vi zine.
We have to provide 2-3 samples of what we consider best represents our writing style for the zine. Is there a certain word limit for these samples, are they supposed to be pretty brief or longer? Can they also be excerpts from fanfics or one shots I’ve already written like what is included in my portfolio, or do they have to be freshly written with the zine in mind?

All samples should be 3k words or less. You can add as your sample an excerpt from your fanfic, but it should be possible to read it without needing a lot of context. Additionally we require among the samples at least one oneshot, to show you can write a story with a limited amount of words. Preexisting stories/poems are perfect, it's not necessary to create something new for your portfolio.
