got trending hot search in WB is another experience and another level rather than being trending on X. Trends in WB is treated more serious and tense(?) than in X. Perhaps because the features there are more like challenging...?
In the Chinese entertainment context, absolutely. Because they’re closer to the industry core, they can influence narrative, they are watched by PR teams, they are more reputation-sensitive. Trending on WB can affect reputation, contracts, and career direction. But that also means hot search isn’t always organic. Sometimes it’s pushed, sometimes it’s controlled :)
