I have high expectations of it as I always do with Dana's works (and she never dissapoints!)
What excites me the most about the story is how the post-belos world building will get presented, I'm genuinely intrigued how everyone in general is dealing with the trauma of surviving a post-apocalyptic world, the grief for what was took from them (freedom, magic, friends), and maybe a emotional numbness that might come after realizing everything the emperor coven made them believe was not real. I have already two toh fanfics that touch the surface of this already (with blight family and boscha) and i hope i was able to get it right.
Also i think not a lot of people expects this from me but the owl family dynamic is my favorite from toh, and it is truly strikin for me to see how are they going to solve this without Luz, being Luz herself the one that needs help here. I think it holds so much value that now Luz is unable to have her consistent leader role and she will experience in first hand how other people will do everything they can to help her (I'm also curious for HOW MUCH will she forget bc on that depends who is gonna get involved in her recovery too).
And of course, I'm just generally happy to see my fav characters again. I miss my hexsquad SO MUCH, i miss my blight siblings A LOT. What can i say, i'm just excited about my fav cartoon media ever.

Viney:
Bros - Wolf Alice (her friendship with jerbo and barcus is very precious to me)
Cool Kids - echosmith (same reason)
Caring Is Creepy - The Shins (me summarizing her attachment issues)
Would That I - Hozier (very Viney core, she's so free and raw an unapologetic, a hozier song)
Not Gonna Kill You - Angel Olsen (also viney core, very hopeful honest and loving)

Emira:
Rhiannon - Fleetwood Mac (I have this headcanon were emira was seen as an unreachable girl in hexside sooo yes)
Bad Reputation - Joan Jett (very careless and bratty emira s1)
Nomad - Clairo (baby girl wish to leave everything behind but in an unhealthy way/isolation just so she can give up her responsibilities).
curious/furious - WILLOW (emira embracing her rage hut having hope why not)
Dog Days Are Over - Florence + The Machine (she finally leaving the past behind but now in a healthy way and finally embracing her freedom without resentment or guilt).

Vinira:
What Is What - Interpol (them getting over the distrust and having mixed signals, basically breaking each other walls now that the know each other more)
What Once Was - Hers (let them be understanding and caring about each other struggles).
What is Gonna Be? - Shura (probably THE vinira song for me personally is just them gravitating around their feelings because they have this slow burn going on).
We Will Never Have Sex - Leith Ross (this is velvet's courtesy and ever since paw told me about this song I never stop thinking about it, and it is basically about loving in the purest ways).
Dreams - The Cranberries (their song when they finally get together, see it as a happily ever after anthem).

Lumity is just greed to me... I have no thoughts other than consume–JOKING:
• Amity is the driver and Luz the passenger seat princess
• Amity is a BIG teaser. Fingers hovering around Luz's neck, casual stares at her lips and knowing smiles, etc. THAT GIRL KNOWS HOW TO FLIRT.
• Both love to show off each other. They are so proud of being each other girlfriend and are constantly bragging how cool the other is.
• Amity sleeps a lot and Luz is a morning person.
• Luz LOVES to play with Amity's ears and that makes ams so flustered.
• I think Luz likes to make handmade small gifts. Like, they are on dates and while Amity is yapping Luz is making her some paper animals, assembling jewelry or arranging her a bouquet of flowers she picks up on the road (they love taking walks too). So at the end of the yapping or when they reach home Luz has all these things made already and she gives them to her. Amity of course keeps them all in an special showcase.
