HJELP ME well this requires me to reveal that. communicants (which is what jack is) actually aren't literal tv-heads LOL. They're actually bugs! When communicants were discovered they were labelled "tele's"for the Literal meaning of it due to them being able to maintain far/distant communication. Obviously though as time passed the "tele" prefix became well known for electronic association so. That's part of it besides the appearance factor. Communicants in general were much more bug-like before interacting with members of the wider universe and thus ended up becoming more humanoid over time. Yes this does mean Jack has flesh.
