so 2024 valentine's was eventful, to say the least. its gonna take me a while to find the receipts so i wont look right now, if you wanna see them send another ask and I'll link them there :) but as far as the explanation:

channie was in japan, we knew this. he then sends us pictures of him at a restaurant, with a drink. obviously pineapple juice, because it's chan. and the fandom jokes hes with peniel again, bc he usually hangs out w him when he's not on schedule. but THEN. we get hyunjin sending us a selfie on bubble too. drinking pineapple juice. the background of the image is suspiciously blank. so we, just went "aw cute they're matching" because we thought hyunjin was in korea...
news flash, he wasn't. and we only got to know because of airport footage of him RETURNING to korea from JAPAN.
so like any logical shipper/j we drew the conclusion that hyunchan were in japan together and hyunjin was definitely with chan that day...

and THEN. hyunjin goes BACK to japan with sunwoo from the boyz... they have a fun little vacation. its cute honestly
BUT. channie ? on bubble? valentine's day??? he was FUMING ejjfjdjfkfbf he went from flirting with "us" to "oh you're spending the day with someone else?" and making up this whole roleplay thing of "us" (stays) 'cheating on him' and he got all salty and sulky and had a whole "breakup " era, ended with "im seeing someone else too" and then revealed said someone else is berry LOL and then he simmered down very quickly

im not gonna talk about this ridiculous fandom and the reaction people had to that breakup roleplay bc SOME people were very dangerously parasocial and having full on meltdowns about it and blaming him for shit they made up in their head......

howeverrrrr, in my personal delulu opinion that roleplay was not at all directed towards us, we were just the casualties LOL i fully believe chan was SULKYYY that hyune left to go on a friends trip with sunwoo right after/during (i dont remember exactly when) valentine's day EVEN THO HE HAD (PRESUMABLY) JUST SPENT THE DAY WITH CHAN RIGHT BEFORE
so yeah. salty sulky jealous chan using bubble to shade hyunjin is the funniest lore headcanon i have of them LOL
