HYUNCHAAAN MY BELOVEDS gosh i have a vague timeline in my head about them with alternative versions and everything LOL if you wanna yell about them or hear me yap you are always welcome in my dms too!

but lets see now, how do i think it started,,, they were too puppy-love / school-crush coded during pre and early debut to not have been crushing on each other 😭😭 i think they both liked each other from the very beginning. but i also think they both just enjoyed each other's company and did cutesy cuddly things but left it at that, since they're both ambitious and passionate people and were probably too focused on their debut and career.

as for who fell first and who fell harder.... its really hard to tell 😣😣 on the other hand hyunjin was EASILY the first to confess. chan is always too up in his head about leader responsibilities and not being "selfish" he would talk himself out of his feelings for hyune or wanting to confess to him. considering hyune kept asking chan to be in his team and they were friends before, and the audacity/lh chan has to keep hyune waiting LOL you could say hyune might have fallen first.

and then, and this is gonna sound cliche i knowwww, but the hiatus and red lights really does seem like their turning point. theres a big distinction in their dynamics between before RL and after RL (cute puppy love to a more mature and secure love) but its not even RL that marks the turning point, its definitely the hiatus. i think hyune being taken away from chan and chan not being able to do anything about it was a wake up call for channie and they both had time to sit on their feelings and really think them through. when they came back to each other, hyune was definitely a changed person, and channie probably felt he was finally willing to admit that he loves hyune and wants him.

this timeline would mean they were flirty and affectionate before RL but really only got together once they did RL,,, and i like that more than the other timeline option (them being together the whole time) because then 'Ex' will fit into their story without making chan emotionally cheat on hyune (and i think hyune would never forgive him if that happened jsbdjdnf in my delulu mind Hyunjin berates chan for that ex verse because hes a hopeless romantic and can't fathom emotional cheating, but he's not fully mad at him because HE is the one chan was thinking of while with this other person)

speaking of, most of their songs / solo songs form a timeline in my head too 😭😭 lowkey its one of my fav things to think about, its so entertaining bc they're both so petty and dramatic /pos and depressed but obsessed with each other and romantic as fuck. but i shall not get into that now thats a whole new can of worms sjbfdk
