Aaaah Mona... My parents are prideful fools and they are, I think going to seperate. The marriage has been dysfunctional for years and even 6-7 years ago when I was 13 I suggested them to divorce because things were so bad. They said "as long as we are together its in any shape or form better than being seperate" I'm 20 now but due to economic struggle can't live independently from them whilst studying uni... Anyhow a part of me is relieved that the toxic household will finally dissolve but they were always dependent on each other for many things as well. When emotions take over rational thought humans do nothing but make their circumstances worse I feel like 😔 I'm not sad that they are seperating but I'am sad because they are prideful and incapable of empathy. Honestly its surprising that it lasted as long as it did, but I just can't help but get sad for them because I know both will struggle without the other. If you are wondering why I'm not talking about all this to my friends is because their families are also close to mine and my parents get extremely mad if word gets out about our private affairs. Plus none of my friends are mature enough for me to consider their opinion valid or healthy. I'm also really a fond way of your view of life as you are a no bullshit tolerant but also someone who tries to stay strong when things get hard, at least hats what I can tell from here. I just needed to vent thank you for your time ❤️
Oh sweetheart, I'm so sorry that you're going through such a stressful situation but marriage can be like this sometimes. People get married because they love each other and I'm sure your parents had many happy years together, but as time passes, they grow, they change and their priorities and needs change too. Sometimes no matter how hard you try to keep a family together, staying together only creates an environment that hurts everyone involved and when that happens, letting each other go isn't necessarily a failure but it can be the most loving and selfless thing they can do as it means recognizing that staying together is causing more pain than peace, and that both deserve the chance to find happiness again. I understand that you're feeling a little conflicted. On one hand, you're relieved because the toxic atmosphere you've lived in for so long may finally come to an end. On the other hand, you're sad for them. They're still your parents and it's painful to watch them go through such a huge change, especially knowing that they've built an entire life together and have relied on each other in so many ways. Unfortunately, when pride takes over instead of empathy and communication, people often stay in situations that should have changed long ago. But maybe, even if it's happening later than it should have, this divorce could become an opportunity for both of them to find some peace again first within themselves and eventually in the way they relate to you and the rest of the family. Everything will be okay ❤️ It probably won't be easy and there will be difficult days ahead but I promise it'll be worthy. I'm sending you the biggest hug and all the positive energy I can. Take care of yourself too 🫂
