kung subplot lang ang romance sa beeyotch universe (i.e., gs), bakit parang laging titeng tite naman ang ilang fml sa pov nila? 😓
idk if this is a genuine q but i'll try answering seriously BSHSHSH. when i made that tweet, i was referring to how gs installments are generally centered on an area of law and exploring the gray areas of it (ex: ptg-crim law, rtg & htg-fam law, etg-drug law & ejk, etc). the romantic developments of these characters IMO become secondary (although ofc it's up to the reader's discretion on how they want to consume a story) but yes it's secondary for the reason that these characters are placed in situations that make us question the law in itself, rather than using romance as the primary plot driver. the romance aspect is used as a plot device to reveal moral dilemmas and personal stakes in legal conflicts (ex: jax taking kitty's case, vito with assia's case). BUT i do somewhat see your point kasi i did say na lately, there's been a pattern of the fls having to end up with the mls (almost like an end-all-be-all situation for them). yes, people have different dreams (ex: deanne who just wanted to live a good life with samu and not be this hotshot lawyer) and that IS valid! but idk, it just left a bad taste for me esp when you look at the bigger picture— lyana having to end up with sean, deanne wanting nothing more than ending up with samu, tali's character and how the villamontes case was handled... idk may something. last na but i wouldn't say titeng tite sila that's so degrading, i'd frame it more as the later gs installments leaning toward a more male-centric direction.
