hala ms lex that would be insane if the atenean girl ive been watching is actually your friend?! 😭😭 LIKE HOWWW baka nag cameo ka pala sa vlogs HAHAHAHA
ik its been two years but pls continue ur jakit gamer au PLEASE😭😭😭
ms lex i hope you answer this huhu i saw u passed the up lae congratulations! i hope you do well in upls!
can you give me some tips and study advice on the uplae because i don’t have anyone to ask for advice since idk anyone who’s interested in upls too 🥹 i just really want to try my luck with up. thank you ms lex!
hi! was debating whether to answer this because i wasn’t sure yet if i was going to pass the interview 😭 but now that i did, i think i’m at least somewhat qualified to give a satisfactory answer :))
for starters, it helps to already have a rough idea of when the prospective uplae date will be so you can properly block out your study schedule. ours was around march 1 iirc! i also enrolled in a review center (white elephant) and availed their crash course option
study schedule-wise:
- i started as early as november the year before and did some light reading using the lae prepper i got from white elephant. during this month, i followed a biweekly schedule where i focused on one component of the exam at a time (logic/math/verbal reasoning) for around two weeks each. since i was one of the project managers for an org event that hosted mock alsats and mock laes, i got to take those exams too, which helped me gauge my strengths and weaknesses (which at the time felt like… all 😭)
- for december, since it was holiday break, i honestly couldn’t focus on lae prep as seriously as i wanted to, so i mainly concentrated on logic which was my weakest component
- january was when i started “seriously” studying. my schedule became one component per week, and i’d study after classes almost every day
- during feb, a lot of frats and soros started hosting their own mock exams, and i took advantage of those since they’re usually free and easy to find on fb! i got really discouraged because my scores usually averaged around the high 60% to low 70% and never much higher than that, but i still pushed through. after every mock exam, i had a habit of listing down points for improvement and focused on those! i only took around four mock exams total though :))
more tips:
- focus on the lae first! a lot of people stress themselves out by worrying about the interview which imo is not a good strategy. focus on passing the lae first!
- although some people say the lae is “just like the cets,” treat it like the hardest exam you’ll ever take. give yourself enough time to actually digest the information. personally, healthy paranoia was a good motivator for me 😭 the passing rate this year was less than 5% lang din :))
- find a study/accountability buddy if you can! while i mostly studied alone, almost everyone in my course and batch applied for the lae, so we always checked in on each other’s progress. while the lae is technically a competition since it’s ranked, it still helps a lot to have friends going through the same thing with you.
- reddit is honestly such a good source for info/chika 😭 my personal favorites are the prelawstudentsph and lawstudentsph subreddits.
but honestly, one of my most important tips is to not count yourself out before you even take the exam. a lot of people convince themselves (me included) they’re not passing the lae before they even try which is just pessimistic and doesn't help your case. the only thing that matters is how badly you want it!
lmk if this helped! feel free to dm me on twt or through my tg: @/lulalihams :))
OMG MS LEX I SAW UP JUST RELEASED THE LAE PASSERS AND I THOUGHT OF YOU! if you passed it congrats to you!! im so happy for you ms lex will def miss u chikas here kapag busy na sa law school
while reading game over, i got so amazed by lui kasi his course was nursing but he still entered law school 🦭
do you think happy si maven knowing he married abby?
hi ate! you didnt answer this the last time and id like to ask again the same question cos why not: did you think abby ask that specific question to nadia becos and plotted her next moves or unlike her she didnt expect that coming from her (k*lling archie) because she underestimated that led to her husband losing the election or was she hoping for another result? hshdhdhshs i really want to know your thoughts
im not sure what specific question that is anon but if you're asking if i think abby expected nadia to kill archibald my answer is yes and no? yes because she knows nadia is more than capable of having somebody murked and no bec she might not have known the exact extent of nadia's tolerance for her husband, or how far nadia was willing to go once that line was crossed. i'm also not completely certain what abby;s motivations were in provoking nadia in the first place, especially since etg abby and post–plane crash abby are two entirely different beings to me :)
imo maven losing was not because of abby underestimating nadia (slightly, yes) but it's because maven wanted abby's hands off the election and we all know clean and fair doesn't win the fight. abby stayed away not out of naivety toward nadia's potential, but because her love for maven (and their kids) made her choose him over power
alam mo ms lex xmas and new year in our house is so boring that id rather reread nt! 😭 its literally just the four of us (my sibling and our parents. no cousins or what) and no one's talking and having fun HAHAHHA ganito nalang lagi every year its so sad na were so away from our other relatives
oh no :{ i hope you were still able to enjoy and make the most out of your holidays anon! so random but the supposed nt extra 4 (now slotted for extra 5 bec i got too lazy to pick it up again) includes a scene of elina sharing very similar sentiments :] (of course borne out of the holiday blues)
ate lex its so cute na we can consistently send u messages to yap and all hehe like this one! ik na u used to use retro and tellonym din before revo <3
