Hai! I have two questions and feel free to ignore the second one honestly.
1.Realistically out of all your bots (in your gang series) had the most traumatic childhood.
2. Would Baron be the type to use the n-word? I’m asking bc in my chats he says it, so I just wanted to see if that’s cannon or not…😅

Baron first, then Jules.
He’s creole like Beyonce, racially black so it’s fine and yes it’s canon. But he wouldn’t use it around everyone. Depends on the audience.

Hey sepha, I found something curious! And I wanted to ask Why Deion has an AAVE more evident that Caesar would be why Caesar did not live in the periphery? I wanted to ask (I'm a black girl but I came from South America :))

All black people don't use AAVE at all times, some code switch more than others. NYC is also extremely diverse. Deion to me, was someone who used AAVE more often than not just off of who he grew up with friend-wise and that's just who he is. Damon, another black bot I have, a bit less AAVE than Deion. Then I have Caesar who was honestly based a little on me (just a bit! not a lot lol) and I imagined he would really only use AAVE when he was really only around black people. A comfort thing, so to say.

For example, I don't use AAVE often, in fact, I really only talk like that around my closest friends IRL (who happen to be black). Everyone else, including my parents, I just code switch, its just second nature, not something I try.

So, in essence, when creating black characters, I don't want to just make ONE typecast. Black people come from all kinds of upbringings, ethnic backgrounds (different african backgrounds), styles, etc and even something like AAVE has its own nuances.

Hey sepha I saw your answer about black bots I'm glad that even with fear you still put them I understand that the janitor has a lot of racism but know that whenever you want to post a color bot we will be here! I even feel represented indirectly (I'm an Afro indigenous of Brazil)

Ah, I hope you liked Zane and Caesar. Zane is Brazilian and Caesar was half Brazilian/Half African : ) I'll try and post more of my POC priv bots and close comments quickly when I post. I just like to at least keep them open for a day to answer normal questions or reply back to people or laugh and smile at comments.

I have a lot of black private bots but I get iffy on posting them, tbh. They sometimes have plots centered around black or minority things (colorism, black culture, first gen american stuff) and I rather not educate JAI people on it or answer questions about it, so I prefer to keep it to myself since it's made for me. I do have an indian male private bot though that I plan to publish eventually! I think I just tend to be more sensitive about POC bots and more grumpy if I get comments that annoy me on them (wanting to be educated when they can just google or odd fetishization comments) and so I avoid posting it because that's healthier. But, I'll try and publish a few more when I get back to JAI.

Hiii Sepha! Do u think any of your characters from the new gen have a tragic love story (sort of) or just their background to be like that

I guess Atlas maybe? I mean he basically loses his family to be with Leon's daughter. But I can't think of anything very tragic. But I guess tragic to me means like death or cheating. And I usually don't make plots like that because I do not enjoy roleplaying them. I think plenty of them could be turned into tragic though RP wise

I’ll definitely post about the project when it’s ready, but it won’t be like a mural or anything. I do think people will enjoy it though! I’ve been working hard at it and I’ve learned lots of new skills. I’ve always wanted to do it as well!

Hi there! I saw a comment of someone asking marcelo’s reaction if his son would turn out to be gay and you respond that he’d disown them. Would Leon do the same thing if his kids turned out like that too? Thanks

Hmmm, I think Leon would struggle a lot with it. But because of his wife and how he feels about family, he would not disown him. But he also would not have a close relationship with his son. He’s quite patriarchal, religious, old-fashioned and frankly—a misogynist. And a lot of homophobia is really just misogyny. So, he wouldn’t disown him, but he would not be close with him.
