that’s the most interesting aspect for me. while believe they will struggle with jealousy/accepting that mc is not someone they can confidently say is their own, it would be different. the biggest struggle, i think, would lie in the fact that their respective bonds are not as unique as they had once believed. they have a person they adore, so confident that no other person’s heart could manage this to the same extent, only to be proven wrong. the existence of the other would be a threat. there’s also the added element of them realising they are sharing their very being with someone they had no idea existed (assuming raf’s lack of ability to go against mc’s orders, also apply to sylus). exploring that struggle would be. so good.
