I just recently watched ginger snaps, writing my thought on that in another ask. Not sure how I would quantify my favorites... my favorite... books, anime, cartoon, artist, etc???? There's... lots of stuff out there.

I guess I'll talk about the dark media that most influenced me mmm... Gantz and MPD Psycho were big influences on me as a youngin, as well as the work of Suehiro Maruo and other gore artists. The Gunie Pig series of films - and things in that vein like the series "Grave Robbing for Morons" is from that I can't recall the name of. I had a real EDGY PHASE as a teen. More complex dark works, again it's hard to quantify, I'm not sure what you mean - is uh, Paranoia Agent "dark media"? Clarissa definitely is. Megg Mogg & Owl is one of, if not my most, favorite comics ever and it's all kinds of fucked up. I could go on... again most of the things I like are dark... when someone asks me my favorites, ofc my mind goes blank haha. There's lots of artists who inspire my who make unflinching dark work. A big one is definitely What Happens Next by Max Graves right now, a free to read webcomic online you should for sure check it out. Hope that's enough recommendations for you to explore...
