I don’t even know how those screenshot accs get so popular, and they even get witch hunted too sometimes, but ig it’s easier to continue posting when u don’t do anything meaningful than artists that stop interacting since they got hunted with content that took them effort to make, so everyone makes artists leave which are the ones who clearly run fandom and we get stuck with accs that got big out of luck
Because they're safe to interact with I guess they offer no content that isn't in the show itself so usually nothing for people to get upset over and play police/moral judgement in fandom so you can be on the "right side" by being in their good graces. Making art is risky and may always offend someone, so to be a creator is no longer the most powerful position in fandom - because it's more about not offending anyone ever and liking all your fan content the "right way" than it is celebrating creativity/love and transformation of the work/appealing to whatever your niche is within the fandom.
