how would u recommend starting to go vegetarian/vegan

Be patient with yourself, allow yourself to transition instead of stopping abruptly - start by simply eating less animal products and planning more meatless meals/snacks, understand veganism isn't a diet but about doing the best you can to lessen your participation/impact, remember this means you are still vegan if you have certain conditions or circumstances that prevent you from following it perfectly (ignore militant vegans), know that but don't use it as an excuse, buy second hand and products not tested on or made with animal products as frequently as possible, follow animal sanctuaries/rescues to familiarize yourself with farm animals and recognize them as living beings with as much personality as any pet you've had, watch documentaries (Earthlings if you can stomach it, it's on youtube), look into the food industry in general and learn that most meat, especially cheap meat, isn't good for you anyways, learn about ocean pollution/radiation and seafloor scraping, learn about leather industry pollution, learn about fur farms, learn about how humans working in animal agriculture are treated and the high rates of injury and depression, learn about how poor (often black in America) communities are impacted by adjacent factory farms, change your relationship with not just food but your consumption in general (a plant product, for example, made in an extremely unethical way - such as most palm oils - is not vegan), reject the lazy defeatism that there's no ethical consumption under capitalism, reject the idea that because resistance is imperfect it's not worth resisting at all, reject veganism based in bigotry and delusion (ie animals eating each other in nature is bad), advocate veganism based in it being wrong to subjugate and exploit living beings and destroy the environment/oppress marginalized people for profit instead of the reductive idea that it's wrong to kill for food, be gentle with human animals too, feel very cool because veganism is one of the most punk anti-capitalist things you can do so much so that no one wants to accept this because they'll never be that punk!!! :P GOOD LUCK!!!
