whats your go to plan or roadmap when you create super lore oriented series? like gimme the whole damn tut pretty zaddy

lmaoo okay bet 😭Sooo with worlds like Veilara, CNU, and the soon-to-be Gene//Order, it first starts from seeing a movie or playing a videogame that I enjoy and wanting to make something of my own. I don’t start with plot, I start with the core idea first core idea first, just one sentence like for example “This is a world where [blank] and [blank] happen and it ruins everything.” If that sentence slaps, you’re good. I also add what vibes/themes I want and rules. Like: what kind of world is this, what feels normal here, and what absolutely does not happen. Once the rules are locked, everything else kinda falls into place.

Then I make a messy lore dump in notes app or docs. Just straight up brain-vomit such as history, tech, rumors, etc, most of it’s just for me so I know how to carry on. For me, power structures are a big thing, who’s winning, who’s getting screwed, and why. empires, corps, cults, families, whatever, lore gets juicy when life is unfair. Then I lastly add characters, just dropping people into the mess and see how they survive it. It's good to stick to the rules that you make, because then the character will fit into the story more naturally.

and yeah, I don’t overplan though (such as evolution, unless you're into that). Personally, I don't want to develop a whole universe that gives me headaches bc I am coming up with different chemicals or fossils or wtv. but that’s the tut, you’re welcome bestie đŸŒčif u have more specific questions, i would be happy to answer
