I just stopped by to thank you for this summer story. Ahhh, it feels so good to read your words again, and it makes me even happier that you gave them such a beautiful ending.
14 chapters and almost 10k words, I definitely had such a wonderful time reading every bit of it. And even though itās 14 chapters and 10k words, it still didnāt feel like enough. Honestly, it will probably never be enough when it comes to a Jeongbby fic for me.
I read every single sentence and every word, almost afraid of it ending. But eventually it did, and it was absolutely amazing. Jeongbby always makes me feel so soft, calm, and peaceful when theyāre together, and this fic gave me exactly that feeling.
Thank you again for finishing it and for sharing it with us. I really hope you enjoyed every moment of writing it too. And Iām just a little curious, why did you choose to have them meet again after a year? Why not sooner, or later? Why did it have to be a whole year?

As for why I chose a whole year before they met again, I think I wanted it to feel like enough time had passed for things to settle. If it had been sooner, it might feel like itās too premature for Doyoung to jump right back to that summer dream when he should be grieving, growing, and really sitting with the fact that he is now living one of his nightmaresālosing his mom.
But if it was much later, I feel like they might lose the quiet connection they have build over the limited time they had with each other. And if so much time has passed their time together may start to feel like something that belongs only to the past. So yeah, I think a year would be just the right amount of timeāthe sweet spot for them to be apart and work through things on their own, and then come back together when things are a little better.
I imagined Jeongwoo telling him, āyou can come back when things get betterā and still ended up being the one who went to find Doyoung. A lover boy through and through. š
