First, I’m sorry if anything I said or did during the Space made you feel like I was dismissing you or looking down on your opinion. That honestly wasn’t my intention. I was just reacting in the moment.
I’ve mentioned before that I find the way you think interesting, and I still mean that. What I appreciate most is that you seem to form your own beliefs and principles rather than just going along with what everyone else thinks. Today, I also noticed another side of you that I appreciated. From the way you spoke, you seemed to have a sense of compassion and tolerance, and I genuinely respect that. Of course, this is all just an impression I’ve gotten from hearing your opinions and listening to you talk about different things. I could be wrong, and I don’t want to act like I know you based on that alone. You can’t really know someone completely just from what they say or what they believe, especially when you’ve only heard them talk for a relatively short time. As for calling that way of thinking misogynistic, I’m sorry if it sounded like I was calling you misogynistic as a person. I was talking about the idea itself, not trying to label you. Maybe I jumped to that conclusion too quickly, or maybe I misunderstood what you meant. Either way, I’m not trying to reduce you to one idea or judge you as a person because of it. There’s a difference between criticizing an idea and judging the person who holds it. And I hope you don’t think I have anything against you just because we disagree. I actually like hearing opinions that are different from mine. I don’t see the point in only surrounding yourself with people who agree with you. If the disagreement is respectful, it can introduce you to perspectives you hadn’t thought about and sometimes even make you rethink your own views. So if you really are open to different perspectives, which is the impression I’ve gotten from listening to you, I just hope you’ll hear mine too. I’d really like you to try, even just a little, to look at some of these issues from a woman’s perspective, rather than only looking at them from the outside as a man. Think about what life and society might look like from her side, how she might experience the way people see her, and what certain expectations or restrictions might feel like when you’re the one living with them. Sometimes something that looks selfish or excessive from the outside can make a lot more sense when you understand where it’s coming from. I’m not saying women are always right, and I’m not trying to make this an emotional argument. I also know that one woman’s experience doesn’t represent every woman. I just think women’s perspectives deserve to be taken seriously and considered too. And I’m not asking you to change your mind or agree with me. I just want you to actually give this perspective a fair chance. If you genuinely think all of this is pointless or a waste of time, that’s completely fine. You can just ignore my request. I know I basically wrote you a whole essay lol. I’m not even used to talking this much, so this feels kinda weird :/
But I wanted to explain myself properly instead of leaving things unclear.
At the end of the day, it’s completely fine if we disagree. Not every conversation has to end with us agreeing.
Take care 🙏🏻
