TRUEEEEE. i headcanon them : Luffy would be "i like this guy!!! awesome crewmate!!!" --> "i feel absence..." when zoro wasnt with him --> then his advances towards zoro depends on his readings of zoro temperaments and how it affects him personally.
while Zoro just cant keep his eyes away from the loud persistent boy he just met. his brain is sizzling from the sun, so he said yes! not because something (someone) just tugged his heart. he followed luffy. naturally. as to why he did it? he doesnt have an answer. i like to think zoro just believed all other nakamas hold luffy in the same regard as him 🤭its normal to feel like this. its luffy yall!!! its luffy!!! man i just love silly zoro
yeah i think in this case zoros timeskip absence might be somewhat of a turning point for luffy on his little journey to realise he wants zoro hole near him all the time... it makes him kind of selfish that he focuses on HIS emotions/readings/feelings towards zoro but i think it's very luffy HAHA also you're 100% right oblivious zoro has one billion charm points

^ wow actually so true. i cant stop looking at reverse and when pffft luffy wouldnt let that happen and of all people i just think zoro wouldve been the least interested in being a top. let alone dom. lollll. so sorry but zoro really just a guy that let ypu lead and take him and luffy is just someones who take and take and take hehehe. got a feeling he wouldnt say no to any of luffys whims so everything is really under negotiated kink as extremes as it gets and whats funnier is zoro wouldnt care as long its luffy ... man i love these two. the amount of trust he has for luffy is crazyyy and my sweet hardworking baby seme luffy deserves to take advantage of it anytime <333
undernegotiated kink is such a great way to put it omg YES.... my idee fixe is that i think theyd enjoy swordplay a lot without really naming it because of how it plays around with this giving & taking narrative, ownership, physical feeling of a body & its continuation in a weapon... to me a lot of zoros character is about coming in terms with being taken & enjoying it (especially if you look at his "don't come near my dream" at the beginning & then offering his life in trade for luffy's at thriller bark). but not in the mindless dog kind of way bc he frequently acts like a reasonable wife grounding luffy when the latter is getting way too reckless. great opinion hardworking baby seme made me smile
