Your favorite kind of media to engage with? Do You prefer books over tv shows? Movies over comics? Fanfiction over everything? Or all of the above?
Games > Comics > TV Shows (animated) > Movies > TV shows > Books > Fanfiction (and only if it’s really good). I think the art/design aspect is pretty important to me. While I love a good story and can overlook functional art if the story is gripping, I have a much easier time accepting a clichéd story if the art and general presentation is great or made with purpose/passion. To me it’s more a question of how you tell a story than the story as such. Exceptions do exist, but that’s the general rule. I will easily fall into love with your story if you manage to deliver both.
I like game-based storytelling, because if done well it’s a cool way to put you in a story where you have to piece happenings together yourself.
video games and comic books are definitely my top two. they both satisfy different parts of my brain
Audiobooks, video games, animation, podcasts, manga, movies, books
Honestly the bigggest factor is time and available sensory devices. I got on podcasts and audiobooks early cause i did thonlse during work/commutes. Not a ton of preference, except what my particular media special interest is right now.
The past year ive been using my tablet ereader more and thats cut into videogame and tv time. I rarely now watch shows.
Usually videos, though books are nice.
