I think someone mentioned having that lever in a meeting a while ago and then they didn't quite open a ticket but it was discussed in a meeting later I was sick at.. but then after a follow up a month later it was put in the milestone and someone like started implementing it but didn't quite know what the lever was supposed to do at first so it kinda sat there half done for half a year until the new guy arrived and we just shoved a bunch of old open issues at them and then they took that up but didn't know the requirements so they just done whatever and we didn't remember the requirements and thought eh whatever we don't even know who wanted it to begin with so it kinda just got waved through and now we have it and half the people weren't even here when it was added so now nobody wants to touch it because they don't know who is even using it or for what so it just stays around.
