I feel like if we're going to have a thread of weird things gov't shippers said to fanfic writers, that thread is going to be broken.
In a gov't ship fic I wrote, I had a reader crashing out of another member. Mind you, it wasn't even a love triangle. He was just a side character who's also a part of the main ship in the sequel. They complained about him appearing (duh, same universe), about me always writing him as side character for my gov't ship fics (writers choice, duh), about how main character has closer friends (mentions members of a different unit, who are also part of the universe already), called me a fake fan (after writing thousands of words and multiple fics about that govt pairing). As a peaceful youtubezen who had no clue about what's going in in twtzen, I couldn't comprehend where the rage was coming from.
Same fic, same universe, I had one reader constantly praising my writing style. But that's until they told me—told not ask—to write about another govt ship (on a series where 1/2 of the pairing they wanted was paired with a different member, that same member another reader was crashing out about). I said I had nothing planned. Suddenly, my writing was sh!t. I mean, re-reading a few years later, grammar was really ass. But the sudden switch up was funny.
I have a feeling that even without a name, we can all figure out which members I am talking about.

idk like.. there's a reason i write the ships i write, and i really hate when people police(?) the ships i wanna write. like yes please give me feedback on my writing style or my grammar, but asking me to basically rewrite something to fit a gov't ship i don't ship is kinda rude, at least to me it is... it's like i put all this effort in for this and you're telling me it's not good enough for YOUR tastes is crazy...
also hehe i love whenever people comment on the zayne in my revospring 😗😗
