I've recently noticed that Dongren have been interacting less on stage or at the fansigns or anywhere infront of the cameras rather than in private. Like during the promotions of this comeback or throughout all the contents and events that took place in November, they've barely interacted. Haechan's goofing around or busy flirting with Mark or Jeno or Jaemin while Renjun is almost always with Jeno and Jisung. And honestly? I don't think it's a bad thing at all.

Because 1. They went on a date recently. 2. There was a pic at the airport of Haechan ?caressing?? Renjun's face right before their date. And if they were having a fight, they wouldn't do that right? So why avoid eachother or try to be as "friendly" or "platonic" as possible in front of cameras?? Like Haechan avoiding Renjun's gaze during the situps. Or why there was a cut after Renjun called Haechan "jagiya" and Haechan seemed to be trying his best to keep a neutral face expression?? Why he keeps giggling about Mark but when it comes to bare minimum appreciation from Renjun either the camera just cuts or he's struggling about which direction to look (not to seem flustered I guess)???

I think after their possible breakup, they came to a conclusion of doing less fanservice and keeping their relationship private, because it feels more genuine that way. Renjun always complained about how Haechan is only affectionate on camera. He doesn't do that anymore but rather he flirts back at any chance he gets while Haechan avoids any affection on cam. Maybe it's because Haechan finally promised him to show him affection in its most "genuine" form rather than do it publicly which is always deemed as fanservice. Maybe that's why their whole fight was about because I remember Renjun complaining about it throughout 2022 and half of 2023. Then they had their probable break during 2024. And now something has shifted and their relationship has a whole NEW trajectory.

A lot of people are saying that Haechan is being tsundere now, letting Renjun chase after him. There are also theories that Haechan got back together with Mark this month, and went back to being "bestfriends" with Renjun, thus clearing up the beef between them. I wouldn't judge any of the theories because maybe they're partly true after all. Or maybe they're all just bunch of guys, acting gay and having fun with their bestfriends.

But honestly? The Japan date— (if not a sly trick set up by SM to push the ship agenda by sending them their and planting their signatures at the place; just a conspiracy theory) —kinda gives Dongren's relationship a whole different view and explains why they've matured up so much.

I avoid assuming things about people, but just this once, I'll assume that there's less public flirting between Dongren and more LOVE now. Some kind of matured and sacred form of love, that only exists only between THEM, and doesn't need to be displayed to the world as testimony— Because they are eachother's world and it's enough.
