Is it okay to worry too much? I'm dealing with college and I just managed to pass my first year, and my family and friends had encouraged me this entire year, but I don't know why but I get this immense feeling that I'll fail them. I get knots in my stomach when I think about, and I fidget with my hands to busy myself, still, I can't shake the worry that I will somehow, I'll disappoint them.

Worry is normal, but when you say "too much", I imagine you mean that the amount of worrying is getting in the way of you leading a happy and functional life, in which case, decreasing your level of worry might be worth it!

I would ask what you are worried will happen if you disappoint them? Because the reality is that we are all humans that are inherently flawed, and we WILL mess up and disappoint the people around us eventually, and it seems like that's what's scary??? maybe?

Could be a good thing to talk to a ttherapist about!!! that's what i would say.
