Actually while I'm on the subject of pokemon, why is chikorita the best starter?

Bulbasaur is the best starter because it's the one I have the most nostalgia for.

(That aside, it is a simple-but-charming design!)

Disregarding the 10/10 character, how do you like Moon Child as a game?

I've only played 2 or 3 levels and seen bits and pieces of the rest, but my impressions so far are: it's genuinely really interesting. It feels like an evolution of obnoxiously-difficult Amiga "eurojank" platformers, with the greater resolution, addition of continues, and addition of a health bar making it feel like more of a fair challenge. It has some rough spots for sure (it'd probably be better if you had invincibility frames, and the final level looks like it'd be miserable to play with that graphical effect), but it seems like a decent game. I wish Team Hoi had better luck with publishers so we could see further evolutions of this, because I feel like it would've been a distinctly different vibe than most other 2D platformers.

If you had to give an overbearingly poetic wine review style description to express your feelings for the 2008 film Bottle Shock, what would you say?

splashing wine around in glass and sniffing I'm getting scents of... weirdly recent period piece, family drama, and... sniff sniff Ah, and straight nonsense, of course. XD

(I'm not looking up actual wine reviews to try to mimic the style, so hopefully this'll do. XD)

opinions on taito's moe-ified ufo character "Invader Girl" from Space Invaders Extreme 2?

With the UFO thing over her head? Adorable, and a fun addition. But a lot of pictures show her without that, and... at that point she just looks like a standard-issue moe girl with nothing Space Invaders-y about her.

I want to see characters themed after the various invaders, honestly.
