What’s your favorite trite/cliche saying?
I know this is evading the actual question, but I have a soft spot for cliche sayings that have longer versions that flip them on their heads. And my favorite of those is:
"The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb."
Because so many cishets will tell you how family is strong and forever, and so many queer people can testify, either firsthand or secondhand, to how that's really not as true as the others think. Chosen family is choosing to be there. They're not there out of obligation or duress (until they snap and disown you), but because they want to be -- because they genuinely care.
do you know you're precious and beautiful?
PERN or Valdemar?
Didn't get into either of them when I was younger, couldn't get into either of them as an adult. Sorry!
(I was going to write up a whole thing on why I got rid of the Valdemar books I did buy after I realized I was trans a long time ago, but it's based on sketchily-recalled memories I don't have any way to fact-check anymore, so it's best discussed in a less public place.)
Shepard’s Pie or Baked Mac&Cheese?
Pants?
There's a polycule fighting game tournament, how well will you do?
