(Other ask sent too early mb) I haven't seen anyone saying you should be able to harass authors I agree thats stupid. I thought this discourse was about a courtesy to readers who have a fixed dynamic preference in the same way some readers prefer to not read major character death or any specific kink like watersports or literally any tag. It's just polite to properly tag your fics. I see people on both sides talking about how theyre superior for being a fixed or switch shipper which is dumb both are valid but is it not kind to let people know what they're getting into? Of course no author HAS to but it is polite no? I'm sure if someone takes t/b tags off their fic theyre prepared to lose readers, I just don't understand the reasoning behind purposefully not tagging correctly?? (I understand your removal is more of a spite in response to discourse thing, I mean generally speaking)
i saw someone (who is self-proclaimed anti-harassment btw) quite prevalent in this corner of the fandom say that if an author refuses to be courteous and tag, they should expect their readers to be discourteous in their comment sections. that is just simply “you deserve harassment” in prettier packaging. no one owes anyone else fanfic tags, regardless of how polite tagging is. no one is saying it isn’t polite to tag, that’s common sense. we’re just saying authors are well within their rights not to, and they don’t deserve to be treated like shit and dragged through the mud for it. they also don’t deserve to have every new damn reader they get comment “erm van u tag this specific thing?” that’s a difficult concept for some people to understand though, given how entitled some of these readers are.
also, very few people are ‘not tagging correctly.’ this conversation isn’t about them. it’s about people who don’t tag. however, i support their rights to do that too. am i gonna like it if a fic i’m reading ends up being something different than what was advertised? no. am i gonna harass the author for it? no, i’m gonna close the tab and move on with my day. the proship label is literally “anti-harassment.” why can this not extend to things that make us personally uncomfortable? can we not simply just mind our own business?
in what shape do you think sephiroth and cloud would trim their bush ;>
Megkuna existing as a twin brother of regular Sukuna. Who by some god forsaken reason is even more of a lustful menace and is far more unapologetic in his sexual escapades than his twin brother is. OG Sukuna fighting the urge to strangle Megkuna cause he's absolutely terrible in hiding the fact the two love molesting their little brother Yuuji by doing those shenanigans in public compared to being in private.
Considering Shotagumi was really skinny and malnourished, I think that if he was given as a sacrifice to Sukuna, Sukuna would probably be like: "How am I supposed to eat this thing? It's only skin and bones." Meanwhile, Shotayuji always puts himself in front of Megumi, not allowing big meanie Sukuna to touch his friend.
As someone who had their own phase of being paranoid of taking part of dark subject matters and other 'dead-dove' concepts. Did you have your own phase of "Moral OCD?". I loathe the fact I used to be so against anything in that regard years back, but overtime I've grown to known people and artists who draw/write those subject matters and are just. People. And just accepted the golden rule of "if its fiction, its fiction, who gives a shit".
oh i still have phases of moral ocd. though i struggle with ocd in general so i don’t think it’s as much me thinking i’m genuinely some sort of horrible person than it is intrusive thoughts lol. my moral compass is very strong, so it brings on a fair bit of cognitive dissonance when my mind bombards itself with intrusive thoughts like “maybe i really am horrible for liking problematic fiction.” but i know myself, and i know who i am, so i continue to let myself enjoy fiction without letting my ocd get the better of me. i think many people who like dead dove may be like this
Priest Yūji being fucked by delinquent sukuna that he tried to save while having to recite passages from the bible. Sukuna tells him in order for his soul to be saved, yuji must do this.
OG Sukuna being gifted with shotagumi and shotayuji, free to do whatever he wishes with them...
sukuna's parents having him at a very old age so technically hes still yuuji's uncle even tho hes like 7 years old and yuuji is like 20 or smth
who is 20k guy
hey lee! ive been following you for a while and i am a darkshipper that enjoys (fictional ofc) incest, rape and generally dead dove relationships, but i have no sexual trauma. i wanted to ask you, how does writing and drawing graphic sexual scenarios feel as someone who has that trauma? i read all your thoughts about the ethics or profic ideology and i wanted to know your imput on this. additionally, do you feel like its justified to enjoy that type of content even if you have no trauma to back it up? i know a lot of proshippers use it as a sort of comfort zone where they can use parts of their trauma in a safe, controlled, and fictional way, but how do you feel about us who dont? im sorry if this is invasive, i dont expect you to reply, but you seem like a levelheaded person and i adore your posts so i was interested in your opinion! much love
writing traumatic scenarios feels very cathartic for me, since really, it just gives me control over those situations fictionally that i had control taken from me in real life. it helps me not take it so seriously and exist without such a heavy burden on my shoulders. i also use humor as a coping mechanism, so many of my posts are seriously outlandish because it makes me laugh. to me, it’s important not to take my own trauma seriously.
and i wouldn’t say justified is the right word, more like it doesn’t matter? these things are fictional, so whether you have trauma or not, as long as you can interact with it responsibly, there’s really no issue at all. at the end of the day, we all exist in the same corners of the internet, sharing gross, made-up stories and headcanons with one another, and i think that’s hilarious. no one should be punished for thoughtcrime, as thoughtcrime isn’t a real thing (despite the fact that most antis think it is). people who have no trauma and people who have trauma should all be allowed the same opportunities to explore whatever they want in fiction. much love :)
