soooo... is it just me pero parang ang babaw manuyo ni yukiko 😔 wala man lang assurance from him na hindi true yung sinabi ni euna about thia being a leftover... i get why thia still has so many doubts, knowing ko's dating history even before he liked euna

Your writing is so effective kasi nakuha ng characters mo yung pika ng readers. Super galing mo actually! I hope u don't take this the wrong way, but coming to his defense feels like u think we just don't get him or aren't giving him a chance. I do understand his reasons and see his efforts. Unfortunately, di lang talaga siya enough for sympathy. Maybe may bias ka as the writer who knows of his redemption arc however we only have current updates to go by, so our frustration is based on what we know so far

(+) and saying "it was bound to happen for Kiko to realize things" is framing Thia's heartbreak as a necessary sacrifice for Kiko's character development. Lastly, I acknowledge that Thia is toxic too, especially with the constant paranoia and weaponizing breakups during fights. They’re trapped in a toxic loop. Thia’s toxic defense mechanism is a reaction to the original scar Ko & Euna left. They are both flawed, but Kiko’s current actions are feeding Thia’s worst toxic traits instead of helping heal them

(+) kaya I have to respectfully disagree po. Hindi lang naman kasi sa sariling isip ni Thia yun, the trauma was rooted in reality. Kiko literally did choose Euna before, and the fact na hanggang ngayon may secret pa rin sila ni Euna (even if it's for a favor) just proves to Thia na up until now, Euna still holds a certain power over Kiko. Assurance means setting strict boundaries. Thia’s reaction isn't purely out of insecurity, it's a completely logical survival instinct.

(+) as for saying that Thia has "unresolved issues" frames it as a Thia problem. Thia doesn't just have random insecurities. Kiko and Euna gave Thia those issues. It is incredibly unfair to scar someone and then get frustrated that they are still bleeding. Thia is hyper-vigilant because the environment is still unsafe. Thia isn't making things up. He is responding to concrete evidence and historical facts.

(+) and regarding saying Kiko does nothing but assure Thia, by keeping a secret with Euna, the exact person who triggers Thia’s deepest trauma, Kiko is actively destroying his own strings of "assurance." He is choosing Euna's compliance over his fiance’s mental stability. Trust is not a debt that gets paid off by a timeline, it is earned through consistent, protective behavior. Kiko wants the reward of Thia’s full trust without doing the hard work of setting hard, uncomfortable boundaries with Euna.

Oh and if I may, I wanna share my thoughts too regarding the hate towards Ko and why I believe its warranted and its not just because I dont “get” Kiko. If were looking at this through the lens of "well, Kiko is trying his best" you are completely minimizing the psychological damage Kiko has caused and frankly, still causing. There is a massive difference between a character being "flawed" and a character being actively reckless with the heart of the person they claim to love. (+)
