hello! i just finished atwa & i'm planning to read mtag next but i just wanted to thank you for writing stories like that. i can't even imagine the days you spent on writing such a fic like that! it must have been very stressful and tiring but you delivered it very well, thank you so much for continuing on writing & sharing 24 chapters even if some readers (i saw some comments on ao3 while it was still 15 chapters in 😮‍💨) continued on testing your patience and being somewhat ungrateful—i honestly don't think readers realize what writers like you have to deal & sacrifice just to be able to continue a chapter! and to think they're reading it for free omg smh.
chi cheng's confession on ch 24 made me bawl 🥹 idek why but your way with words do just.. THAT. i love how they both—especially chi cheng—managed to come in terms that they really need each other & cannot survive without the other. they both are proofs of their fears. suowei finally has someone that won't leave him, and chi cheng finally has someone that he could protect and won't fade away. i don't know if i worded it right but it just made me think of their devastating childhood 💔💔 while the ending is still not reachable (but not losing hope? hehe but i respect your wishes ofc !!!) i hope atwa chengwei could have each other forever & live without uncertainties in their heads!

hehe that's all sorry idk if this is long but i really loved your writing and the plot of atwa. thank you for giving life to them! i hope you have a nice day! 💗

‘they really need each other and cannot survive without the other.’

god fucking damn, you just get me.

‘suowei finally has someone who won’t leave him, and chi cheng finally has someone he can protect and who won’t fade away.’

did i already say i love you? because i do.

midway through writing this fic, i received a lot of comments saying they couldn’t wait for the boys to heal. to become independent. and i was just sitting there in awe because… i get why you’d want that for them, but what the fuck? 😭

have i not established, through the massive tags and repeatedly throughout the story, that this relationship is toxic and extremely codependent? it was like that right from the beginning, so why did it suddenly feel like we were losing the plot?

am i sick in the head because why do y’all want them healed while i’m over here giggling as i write the worst case of codependency imaginable?

i really thought we don’t want them healed. bc me personally, i want them trauma-bonded and deeply, catastrophically dependent on each other. i want them to look at their shared trauma and go, ‘well, at least we have each other.’

but like you said, the ending is still nowhere to be found. maybe i’ll decide to tear them apart and force them to heal away from each other for a change. 🤔

HAHAHAHA am i evil? maybe i am.

but seriously, i love readers like you. i’m always grateful for the compliments, the sweet comments, and the kind messages, but i really love knowing what you think. hearing your interpretations and seeing that you understood the things i was trying to convey makes me so happy.

thank you for reading atwa so thoughtfully and for taking the time to tell me all of this!
