i think it’s also because of what both countries are known for like when people think of the us they think of red, white, and blue and all the patriotic stuff over there meanwhile when they think of canada they think of stuff like how it’s a melting pot (not saying the us isn’t but you get what i mean) and bilingual and just welcoming in general

true, unfortunately the u.s no longer has a good reputation especially with bozo in charge. the u.s is diverse but they don't embrace and celebrate it but my interactions with americans have been great so far. i just don't like the mindset of everyone for themselves
