Have you noticed? Revospring is now lightning fast! We've been doing a lot to improve the site. Thanks for everybody who has been a part of this site during its growth period. We're now stronger than ever and the experience has never been this smooth! See what's new

For a few days, some anonymous questions weren't reaching inboxes — which is also why the site felt quiet. We found the cause, fixed it, and recovered the questions we could. Sorry for the trouble. Read what happened

qotd: a deep one but do you think humans are inherently selfish? imo i think we are and even if you say you aren't that is still kind of selfish. everyone is somewhat selfish even if it is small

humans arent inherently anything, but we all experience some form of selfishness as a result of the world we are socialized into. like with any emotion or trait there is a spectrum, and what others may perceive as selfish may not seem selfish to ourselves. we're all just complicated like that i guess <3

I would say that it always depends on the circumstances the person has gone through. Yes, most of us are very selfish but some have experienced things that have made them selfless.

But then again, overall I would say that most humans are selfish without a doubt. But it doesn’t have to mean that selfishness is bad. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s not.

Everything in this world depends on somebody’s views of the world, the moralities some have while some don’t, the circumstances and so on if that makes sense

(I have a feeling like none of what I said makes sense but y’all gotta live with it)

I think there’s like a spectrum between selfishness and selflessness, and everyone is somewhere in the middle. Some people may lean more towards selfishness and some people might more towards selflessness, but no one is strictly one or the other.
