I love your depiction of OCD with Wilson; And I relate a lot to it as someone diagnosed with Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder (not to be confused with "OCD", this one is "OCPD"), and I've been thinking for a while if Wilson could very much be someone with both. Of course, Wilson presents the essential characteristics of OCD (an uncontrollable cycle of intrusive thoughts that lead to compulsions at an attempt to mend it, and you know the rest), but Wilson also presents something that doesn't always present in OCD; And that is his extreme need for control. It is quite obvious in his persona that he seeks safety in feeling like he's in control and (this might not be fully accurate, as I haven't read everything about your OCs) with extreme self-criticism, which in the focus on the story, it specially presents in his internalized, and later externalized, homophobia and his inability to maintain relationships. Wilson presents the great majority if not all of the criteria for OCPD along with OCD, extreme perfectionism as a result of obsessive thinking along with a need of control and management. Rigidity in aspects such as ethics but also plans and values (I think this specially presents with his lifelong struggle of not changing at all when he should have and he knew), and I don't know much about his personal life to say that he might have habits of hoarding, or miserly (being a cheap person basically in fear of losing money aka control), maybe someone who seems "workaholic" and ends up putting his own recreational activities (or sees them as stressful) and relationships after a need of perfection and work.
This is kind of just a messy ramble, but I am really amazed by how great you seem to have depicted a lot of obsessive-compulsive and neurotic habits in someone, I could see Wilson being a real person to the point that I can think about how he thinks and draws conclusions, it's really just amazing. I would love if you read up a little about OCPD as a disorder or what you think about it because I had been thinking about this same thing for some weeks.
